Move Mogul’s strategic ambition was clear right from the outset – they wanted to revolutionise the house moving market and make it easier for vendors and buyers to manage the entire process using one simple portal.
In just 12 weeks the brand and marketing website were live and the first phase of the Move Mogul portal was in operation. This initial MVP allowed customers to login and enter their conveyancing requirements. These were then sent out to a number of accredited suppliers who submitted quotes, and from these, the customer could then choose the best one for them based on price, distance and reviews. Vetted suppliers were able to compete directly with each other on price and products meaning the customer received the best possible deals.
Meet the mogul
Moving home is often a confusing and laborious experience with many hidden costs. The brand needed to reassure customers that they were not only getting value for money, but also that their best interests were being taken into consideration. The name “Move Mogul” and the character associated with the brand were devised to reassure customers and give them peace of mind that they were dealing with experts in the field.
Let it flow
The capture and flow of information was critical to the success of the venture. The consumer facing side of the system needed to capture the right information at the right time without scaring or deterring the customer by requesting endless amounts of data. The supplier facing side needed to manage the flow and status of enquiries seamlessly. The main objective of the portal as a whole was to make the whole experience seem effortless and efficient from both sides.
The aim of Move Mogul is to disrupt the long established way in which we go about moving property. The final solution puts the customer in the driving seat and allows them to manage their entire move in a safe digital environment while getting access to competitive quotes from 3rd parties.
Maven quickly started to feel like part of our own team. They guided us through every step of the process and ensured that not only could we regularly feedback on the work – but we were very much part of the design process too. The end product totally exceeded our expectations of what could be possible in such a short timeframe.
Revolutionising an entire industry is never going to be easy, but our approach of breaking down the process into smaller bite-size phases allowed Move Mogul to hit the market in just 12 weeks. Phase one has proved be a phenomenal success and Move Mogul is now attracting a second round of funding to expand into other elements of the moving process, including mortgages and removal/packing services.
